When to use it

Use it before a promotion push, after a role change, or when feedback surprises you.

How to apply it
  1. Write three words you want people to associate with you.
  2. Ask five colleagues at different levels for three words they would use to describe you.
  3. Search your name online and review your public profiles as a stranger would.
  4. Compare the results with your target words and note the gaps.
  5. Choose one behaviour to change or showcase to close the biggest gap.
Tip: Make it easy to be honest: ask for words by message rather than face to face.
