When to use it

Use it continuously, and especially in the weeks before performance reviews or promotion cases.

How to apply it
  1. Create a single document with a section for each quarter or project.
  2. Record each accomplishment with what you did, why it mattered and any measurable result.
  3. Include invisible work such as mentoring, fixing processes and unblocking others.
  4. Set a recurring 15-minute calendar slot every fortnight to update it.
  5. Share a summary with your manager before reviews so they can champion you.
Tip: Write entries while they are fresh; reconstructing six months of work from memory loses most of the detail.
