When to use it

Use it when joining a new team, starting with a new manager or working with many new stakeholders.

How to apply it
  1. Ask three colleagues what they appreciate about working with you and note their words.
  2. Write a short list of what matters to you at work.
  3. Add specific guidance on how to work well with you, such as preferred channels and meeting times.
  4. Add one line on the strengths and expertise people should come to you for.
  5. Keep it to one page, add a photo, and share it with your team.
  6. Review it every six months or after a role change.
Tip: Use your colleagues' own words for the appreciation section; it is more credible than self-description.
