Big Rocks

Schedule your most important commitments first, then fit smaller tasks around them. If small tasks fill the week first, the big ones never fit.
When to use it
Use it when planning your week to make sure priorities are not crowded out.
How to apply it
- Set aside time at the start of each week to plan.
- Identify your roles and the one or two most important outcomes for each.
- Turn those outcomes into specific tasks.
- Book time for those tasks in your calendar before anything else.
- Fill the remaining time with smaller tasks and requests.
Tip: Protect the booked time as you would a meeting with someone else.
