When to use it

Use it when you want to understand the gap between how you see yourself and how others see you.

How to apply it
  1. Choose a set of descriptive adjectives, such as 'reliable' or 'decisive'.
  2. Select the adjectives you think describe you.
  3. Ask several colleagues to select adjectives that describe you.
  4. Place shared choices in the open pane and others' choices only in the blind pane.
  5. Place your own choices that others did not select in the hidden pane.
  6. Pick one blind-spot item to explore through further feedback.
Tip: Ask people who see you in different settings to get a fuller picture.
