When to use it

Use it when starting is hard or your attention drifts during long tasks.

How to apply it
  1. Choose one task to work on.
  2. Set a timer for 25 minutes and work only on that task.
  3. Note any distractions on paper and return to the task.
  4. Take a five-minute break when the timer rings.
  5. After four intervals, take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes.
Tip: Adjust the interval length to suit the work, but keep the breaks.
